Types of anxiety

Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

Generalised Anxiety (GAD) is a long-term condition that causes you to feel anxious about a wide range of issues and situations, rather then one particular issue/situation.
People with GAD feel anxious most days and often struggle to remember the last time they felt relaxed.
Often, when one anxious thought is resolved, another may appear about a completely different issue.
Why do I have GAD?
What cause people to suffer with GAD is not fully understood, there are many factors that can

Social Anxiety

A consistent and severe fear of social situations is referred to as social anxiety disorder or social phobia.

It's a common concern that typically appears in adolescence. It may be really upsetting and significantly impact your life.

Some people find that as they age, things get better. But for many others, it remains after receiving no treatment.

Health Anxiety

An obsessive and irrational worry about getting a major medical condition is known as health anxiety. Additionally known as health anxiety, it was once known as hypochondria. An individual's imagination of physical signs of sickness distinguishes this disorder.
Or in other instances, despite being told by medical specialists that they are well, a person misinterprets mild or common bodily feelings as major disease signs.

Panic Disorder

An anxiety illness known as panic disorder causes frequent, unexpected fear or panic attacks.
There are times when everyone feels anxious or worried. It's a typical reaction to tense or scary situations.
However, a person who suffers from panic disorder experiences worry, stress, and panic on a regular basis at any time, frequently for no apparent cause.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

After experiencing a startling, terrifying, or deadly event, some individuals may develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Fear is a normal emotion both during and after a terrible event. Fear causes the body to go through a number of split-second adjustments that assist in fighting against or avoiding danger. This normal "fight-or-flight" response is aimed to protect a person from harm. After trauma, almost everyone will have a variety of reactions, although the majority of individuals naturally get through the initial symptoms. PTSD may be identified in those who continue to have difficulties. Even when they are not in danger, those with PTSD may experience worry or fear.

Obessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

A mental health disorder known as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is described by impulses and obsessions that interfere with daily functioning. OCD had been categorised as an anxiety disorder because those who suffer from it frequently experience extreme anxiety as a result of their obsessive thoughts. They might also perform extensive routines in an attempt to reduce the tension brought on by obsessions.
